The International Symposium: Transportation in Emerging Countries 2019 will be held in the city of Hasselt (Belgium) at the Hasselt Campus of Hasselt University and the Holiday Inn Hotel Hasselt. Both are within walking distance from each other.

Getting to Campus Hasselt

By train

From Antwerp, Bruges, Brussels (Airport), Ghent, Leuven and Liège, there are direct connections to the capital of Limburg every hour, seven days a week.

You can take a taxi from the entrance to Hasselt Station. A taxi at Kolonel Dusartplein costs about €5.00. From Kolonel Dusartplein, you can walk to Hasselt Campus. Follow the signs to ‘Faculteit Rechten – Universiteit Hasselt’.

By car

Hasselt is easily reached via the E313 (exit 27, 28 and 29) and E314 (exit 29) motorways. There are numerous car parks in and around the city centre. You can leave the car on the outskirts of the town and finish your journey by bus. Near Hasselt Campus (under Kolonel Dusartplein) there is a pay car park, which can be reached via Koning Boudewijnlaan or Maastrichtersteenweg. At the end of Maastrichtersteenweg, turn right onto the Kleine Ring. After 100 m, you will see the entrance to the car park. Free parking is available close to Hasselt Campus on Vilderstraat and Koning Boudewijnlaan.
